Christmas Stages Rally places begin to fill-up fast - Date posted 28.11.06
Entries have been flooding in for this year's Specsavers Christmas Stages Rally at Croft on Saturday 30 December.
Within seven days of the regulations being published around 50 entries had already been received for the popular tarmac event and now there are a total of 67 cars entered.
Leading names already on the entry list include British Rally Championship regular Ryan Champion, with spaces soon expected to be filled for the annually over-subscribed rally.
The Christmas Stages is a round of the Walker/Tecno 2 ANECC Stage Rally Championship and the 2007 Tyresport North of England Tarmacadam Rally Championship and will see competitors battle it out over eight stages - a total of 40 stage miles - around the North East circuit in what are normally icy and wintry conditions, making it all the more exciting.

A raffle in aid of the North East Air Ambulance will be held at the Christmas Stages Rally with the prize a free entry to the 2007 event.
Tickets will be available at signing on and will cost £5 with all proceeds going to the North East Air Ambulance charity.
